Selecting a database/template or a set of databases/templates
The first step is to select whether to work on a single database/template or a set of databases/templates.

By default, the application is set to work on a single database/template, the one selected.
Just click the radio-button to change to your preferred selection.

The screen will change immediately to reflect your selection.

Selecting a set of databases/templates
If you choose to work on a set of databases/templates, the screen will change to enable you to select and/or manage the sets.

The 'Select set' drop-down field will contain all sets previously created.

Select an existing set
Just select the set you want to process from the drop-down field. The list will be populated with all the databases/templates contained in the set.

Create a new set
The 1st selectable option in the drop-down field is always '-- Create a new set --'.
By selecting this option, a dialog opens where you specify the name of the set.

Add to set.../Delete selected from set...
Once you have selected an existing set (or created a new one) you can use these buttons to add/delete databases/templates from the set.

The 'Add to set...' button will open a dialog where you select a database/template to include in the set.
There is no limit as to how many databases/templates you can have in a set.
There is also no limit as to how many sets you can have.

The 'Delete selected from set...' button will remove the selected databases/templates from the set.

Selecting a view/folder to search for
To specify a view/folder to search for, simply type in the search texts in the fields.

If, however, you want to select a view/folder from a list, then click the "Select an existing view/folder..." button.
You will be presented with the familiar File-Database-Open dialog where you select the database where the view/folder is located.

Once you have selected a database, a list with all available views and folders in the selected database will appear.

By selecting a view/folder from the list, the fields in the initial dialog will be populated.

Starting the actual search
Once you have selected databases/templates to search and what to search for, the 'Process' button will be enabled.
Just click it to start the search.

View Reference Search result
If the View Reference Search tool couldn't find any reference to the view/folder in any of the databases/templates selected, the following message will appear.

When the tool has found references, another dialog will appear.
Here you can visually check the result of the search.

If you want to output the results to Notepad, Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice Calc you need to use the menu-options.

The application will detect if Excel and/or Calc is installed on the system and the menu-options will change accordingly.
