Design element types
When the Properties tool is started, you will see a drop-down field for design element types.
The drop-down feld for design element type contains 5 different types.
The design element types available for selection are:
- Forms
- Subforms
- Views
- Folders
- Pages
Selecting design elements
When you select a design element type, the list will immediately be populated with all the design elements of the selected type in the selected database/template.

You may now manually select the design elements to work with, or use the buttons for select/deselect.
As you select one or more design elements, the button for properties will be enabled.
Dialogs for forms, subforms, pages, views, folders plus actionbar
This screenshot shows the dialog that opens when one form has been selected and the "Form and actionbar properties" button has been clicked.

This dialog is context sensitive so for views, folders, subforms and pages different dialogs will display. Each with near identical features to the standard Notes Designer dialogs. However, within NotesHound you will be updating any number of similar elements in bulk instead of one at a time as in the standard Notes Designer.
You will also notice the difference in the dialogbox content when only one design element has been selected compared to when more than one design element has been selected.
With only one design element selected, the dialogbox will contain all the actual values from the selected design element, as well as all actual values for the actionbar for that design element. Whereas with more than one design element selected, the dialogbox will contain Notes default values, both for the design element, and for the actionbar.
Another feature of the NotesHound property tool is it's ability to copy the property attributes from another design element, in either the same database, or another. In this case, instead of selecting all the individual properties on each tab. You can do this simply by clicking on the 'Get form...' button.

Once you click 'Get form...' button, the following dialog will display allowing you to select another element from the current database or from another database entirely.

A similar button exist in the "Actionbar properties" tab that allows you to copy actionbar properties from any design element in any database.
